More than 60 visual and performance artists will reveal the darker side of beauty at a show Saturday to benefit Keep Saint Petersburg Local. Dark Arts will run from 7 to 11 p.m. Saturday at Station Number Three, 2701 Fifth Ave. S. in St. Petersburg.
The former fire station will form the backdrop for sideshow acts, aerialists, macabre oddities and other diversions.
Visual artists known for metalwork, glass, mixed media and even taxidermy will showcase the stranger side of their creative work.
Local entertainers from the Abnormality art show, Dollface and Bluelucy will head up the evening’s events. Food trucks, drinks and a two-story ice cream bus will also be at the scene.
Tickets are available at Daddy Kool Records, 666 Central Ave. Entry is $10 or $5 for members of Keep Saint Petersburg Local, which promotes local businesses. Halloween costumes are encouraged.
