GENERAL DESCRIPTION: This is an entry-level assessment position where the individual is responsible for substance abuse and mental health assessment of adolescents brought to the Pinellas Juvenile Assessment Center (PJAC) by law enforcement. Services include but are not limited to admission screening, assessment of adolescents, compiling written summary of recommendations and reporting the results to the appropriate referral sources.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: - Bachelor of Arts Degree or Bachelor of Science - Associates Degree or Associate in Applied Science in a human service fieldwith work experience
LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS AND REGISTRATIONS: -Valid Florida driver's license (class D) -Current CPR and First Aid Certification if client contact is part of job -Must pass background and fingerprinting checks
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL SKILLS: -Ability to move about treatment facility, both indoors and out -Ability to lift and carry 5 to 10 pounds -Ability to speak on telephone for extended periods of time -Ability to work at a PC for extended periods of time
