Friends of Jack Kerouac

“Friends of Jack Kerouac brings to life the literary legacy of Jack Kerouac and highlights his years writing and living in Florida, especially St. Petersburg. Through critical engagement, community exploration, arts and cultural events, we strive to spark the creative spirit within us all.”

Our organization represents the original St. Petersburg, FL based nonprofit, founded in 2013, that led efforts raising awareness of the historical significance of Kerouac’s last living residence and providing maintenance of the property until its sale in 2020. We have shortened our name to simply “Friends of Jack Kerouac” with a new mission statement listed above.
