Laura Irmis Ceramics
Laura Irmis is an artist whose career spans over two decades. In her work, she explores clay to become stories about monuments of resilience—creating visual echos of how adversity fosters hidden strength through the powerful lens of functional ceramics. Irmis has participated in conferences, mentored Pinellas County educators, given national presentations and state-wide workshops, and exhibits her work across Florida. She served as a board member for the Pinellas Art Education Association for almost a decade and in 2021 she won the clay art award during the PAEA conference. The following year, she was granted a sponsorship to present at the National Art Education Association conference in New York. Laura has continued to work close to the beaches in her home of St. Petersburg, Florida and as of 2025, quit her corporate job as an educator to focus on her ceramic art. She is proud to support the local scene to support the community of amazing businesses and artists.
